Regeneration from Stevens Summer House Visit by Doug Black
Many thanks to Peter, Kristen, and All of you for your continued dedication toward our owner-management of the Stevens property.
A refreshing Green Splendor of Peace was my fortune, arriving at SSH the day after Easter and a fast-paced Manhattan weekend with Judi that included three-some delectable Hells Kitchen dining with cousin Judy. The day-without-night screaming bright blocks-long LCD billboards and clatter of Times Square, became the blue jay’s and crow’s welcome, essential calls by the Summer House. Peter stopped by to make a photo record of my visit and later we hauled off loads of leaves fallen close to the site of the Old Willow Tree plaque. Washing away the day's sweat came easy with the outdoor heated shower. Tranquility with starlight settled in for the night while in the loft’s comfy bed. Strutting Tom Turkey greeted me at SSH the next morning’s sunrise before my departure for a flight home.
Let us continue to sustain and fashion this space from which to cradle our collective souls with so that these valuable ‘refreshments’ will continue to be accessible to all of us Stevens heirs. I’m looking forward to Warwick’s August 23 & 24 Old Home Days when our families gather again!
